Journal ArticleDOI

Efficacy and tolerability of a novel sublingual apomorphine preparation in patients with fluctuating Parkinson's disease.

TL;DR: It is felt that the good short-term efficacy and tolerability demonstrated in this study warrant further study of this new preparation, as there are several potential advantages of sublingual administration compared with traditional APO preparations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Thalamic deep brain stimulation: effects on the nontarget limbs.

TL;DR: It is concluded that VIM DBS may mildly improve ipsilateral ET, and that concerns about meaningful ipsilaterally tremor augmentation after device deactivation are not warranted.
Journal ArticleDOI

Switching from pergolide to pramipexole in patients with Parkinson's disease.

TL;DR: This open label study failed to provide evidence of superior efficacy of either dopamine agonist in the treatment of mild to moderate Parkinson's disease and it is possible, however, that while some patients may benefit more from either pergolide or pramipexole, other patients may obtain additional benefit from other DA agonists or combination therapy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Selegiline orally disintegrating tablets in patients with Parkinson disease and "wearing off" symptoms.

TL;DR: This study showed no significant difference in improvement in percentage of off time with selegiline ODT versus placebo, which contrasts with an identically designed study that showed a significant improvement in off time in patients on long-term LD therapy.
