Journal ArticleDOI
Evaluating factors that can influence spirography ratings in patients with essential tremor.
TL;DR: Assessment of ET is recommended to include unsupported, freehand spirals, and the dominant hand was generally better than the non-dominant hand and 'Effort' had little effect on ratings.
Journal ArticleDOI
Flumazenil, a GABA antagonist, may improve features of Parkinson's disease.
William G. Ondo,Christine Hunter +1 more
TL;DR: Mechanisms by which flumazenil could improve PD are discussed and whether antagonism of GABA could improve features of PD is tested.
Journal ArticleDOI
Subthalamic deep brain stimulation in patients with a previous pallidotomy.
TL;DR: STN DBS patients with prior pallidotomy had less improvement in UPDRS off motor score compared to other STN deep brain stimulation patients, despite relatively good outcomes immediately after their pallidectomy, which may indicate that prior Pallidotomy is a negative predictor of outcome of STn DBS and should be considered in patient selection.
Journal ArticleDOI
The impact of DaTscan in the diagnosis of Parkinson disease.
Isis Gayed,Usha A. Joseph,Mina Fanous,David Q. Wan,Mya C. Schiess,William G. Ondo,Kyoung Sook Won +6 more
TL;DR: Markedly abnormal DaTscan is confirmed as the diagnostic pattern for PD and good interobserver agreement is easily obtained in reading DaTscans.
