Structured On‐The‐Job Training (SOJT) as Perceived by HRD Professionals

TL;DR: This paper conducted an exploratory study of training and development professionals about SOJT issues and practices in their organizations and summarized the results of their exploratory survey. But surprisingly little research has been conducted on structured on-the-job training (SOJT), even though the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) estimates that employers spend between three and six times more on OJT each year than they spend on planned in-house training.
