Randomized Phase II Trial of Concurrent Cisplatin-Radiotherapy With or Without Neoadjuvant Docetaxel and Cisplatin in Advanced Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma

TL;DR: Neoadjuvant docetaxel-cisplatin followed by CRT was well tolerated with a manageable toxicity profile that allowed subsequent delivery of full-dose CRT and preliminary results suggested a positive impact on survival.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hepatitis B virus reactivation in breast cancer patients receiving cytotoxic chemotherapy: A prospective study

TL;DR: Serial monitoring of HBV DNA, in addition to liver function, increases the sensitivity of diagnosing HBV reactivation, and helps explain some cases that would otherwise be labeled as “cryptogenic hepatitis,” for which concomitantHBV DNA measured at the time of hepatitis was undetectable.
Journal ArticleDOI

Multimodality treatment of primary lymphoepithelioma-like carcinoma of the lung

TL;DR: Lymphoepithelioma‐like carcinoma (LELC) of the lung occurs at a higher frequency in Asian compared with Western patients and its association with Epstein‐Barr virus varies among different ethnic groups.
Journal ArticleDOI

Prospective validation of serum CYFRA 21-1, β-2-microglobulin, and ferritin levels as prognostic markers in patients with nonmetastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma undergoing radiotherapy

TL;DR: Patients with undifferentiated nasopharyngeal carcinoma have elevated serum levels of CYFRA 21‐1 (CYFRA), ferritin, and β‐2‐microglobulin (β2M) compared with healthy control individuals, and the prognostic value of these markers has never been validated prospectively.
