Journal ArticleDOI
Analysis of Plasma Epstein-Barr Virus DNA to Screen for Nasopharyngeal Cancer.
K.C. Allen Chan,John K. S. Woo,Ann D. King,Benny Zee,W K Jacky Lam,Stephen L. Chan,Sam W I Chu,Constance Mak,Irene O L Tse,Samantha Y M Leung,Gloria Chan,Edwin P. Hui,Brigette B.Y. Ma,Rossa W.K. Chiu,Sing Fai Leung,Andrew van Hasselt,Anthony T.C. Chan,Y.M. Dennis Lo +17 more
TL;DR: Analysis of EBV DNA in plasma samples was useful in screening for early asymptomatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma and outcomes were better in participants who were identified by screening than in those in a historical cohort.
Journal ArticleDOI
Randomized Phase II Trial of Concurrent Cisplatin-Radiotherapy With or Without Neoadjuvant Docetaxel and Cisplatin in Advanced Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma
Edwin P. Hui,Brigette B.Y. Ma,Sing F. Leung,Ann D. King,Frankie Mo,Michael K. Kam,Brian K.H. Yu,Samuel K. Chiu,Wing H. Kwan,Rosalie Ho,Iris H.S. Chan,Anil T. Ahuja,Benny Zee,Anthony T.C. Chan +13 more
TL;DR: Neoadjuvant docetaxel-cisplatin followed by CRT was well tolerated with a manageable toxicity profile that allowed subsequent delivery of full-dose CRT and preliminary results suggested a positive impact on survival.
Journal ArticleDOI
Imaging of salivary gland tumours
TL;DR: The role of imaging in assessment of salivary gland tumour is to define intra- glandular vs. extra-glandular location, detect malignant features, assess local extension and invasion, detect nodal metastases and systemic involvement, and determine tumour extent.
Journal ArticleDOI
Antitumor Activity of Nivolumab in Recurrent and Metastatic Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma: An International, Multicenter Study of the Mayo Clinic Phase 2 Consortium (NCI-9742).
Brigette B.Y. Ma,Wan-Teck Lim,Boon Cher Goh,Edwin P. Hui,Kwok Wai Lo,Adam Pettinger,Nathan R. Foster,Jonathan W. Riess,Mark Agulnik,Alex Y. Chang,Akhil Chopra,Julie A. Kish,Christine H. Chung,Douglas Adkins,Kevin J. Cullen,Barbara J. Gitlitz,D. Lim,Ka Fai To,K.C. Allen Chan,Y.M. Dennis Lo,Ann D. King,Charles Erlichman,Jun Yin,Brian A. Costello,Anthony T.C. Chan +24 more
TL;DR: Nivolumab has promising activity in NPC and the 1-year overall survival rate compares favorably with historic data in similar populations and the biomarker results were hypothesis generating and validation in larger cohorts is needed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Necrosis in metastatic neck nodes: diagnostic accuracy of CT, MR imaging, and US.
Ann D. King,Gary M. K. Tse,Anil T. Ahuja,Edmund H.Y. Yuen,Alexander C. Vlantis,Edward W.H. To,Andrew van Hasselt +6 more
TL;DR: MR imaging is comparable to CT for the detection of necrosis and the sensitivity of MR imaging and CT is better than that of US.
