Journal ArticleDOI
Improved outcomes in peripartum cardiomyopathy with contemporary
TL;DR: The morbidity related to PPCM is less than previously reported and initial LV end-diastolic dimension and EF at 2 months predict long-term outcomes, while the withdrawal of heart failure medications after recovery did not lead to decompensation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Diastolic relaxation and compliance reserve during dynamic exercise in heart failure with preserved ejection fraction
Barry A. Borlaug,Wissam Jaber,Steve R. Ommen,Carolyn S.P. Lam,Margaret M. Redfield,Rick A. Nishimura +5 more
TL;DR: In patients with newly diagnosed HFpEF, LV filling pressures increase during dynamic exercise in association with inadequate enhancement of relaxation and acute increases in LV chamber stiffness, suggesting inadequate relaxation reserve relative to the shortening of diastole.
Journal ArticleDOI
Meta-Analysis of Randomized Clinical Trials Comparing Biodegradable Polymer Drug-Eluting Stent to Second-Generation Durable Polymer Drug-Eluting Stents
Georges El-Hayek,Sripal Bangalore,Abel Casso Dominguez,Chandan Devireddy,Wissam Jaber,Gautam Kumar,Kreton Mavromatis,Jacqueline E. Tamis-Holland,Habib Samady +8 more
TL;DR: BP-DES have similar safety and efficacy profiles to second-generation DP-DES, and were not associated with a reduction in the risk of very late ST.
Journal ArticleDOI
Safety of catheter-directed thrombolysis for massive and submassive pulmonary embolism: Results of a multicenter registry and meta-analysis
Tyler Bloomer,Georges El-Hayek,Michael C. McDaniel,Breck Sandvall,Henry A. Liberman,Chandan Devireddy,Gautam Kumar,Pete Fong,Wissam Jaber +8 more
TL;DR: To evaluate the safety and efficacy of catheter‐directed thrombolysis (CDT) in the treatment of acute pulmonary embolism (PE).
Journal ArticleDOI
Early clinical and angiographic outcomes after robotic-assisted coronary artery bypass surgery.
Michael E. Halkos,Henry A. Liberman,Chandan Devireddy,Patrick F. Walker,Aloke V. Finn,Wissam Jaber,Robert A. Guyton,John D. Puskas +7 more
TL;DR: Robotic-assisted coronary artery bypass grafting is an effective alternative to traditional coronary artery Bypass grafting for patients with single or multivessel coronary artery disease, with comparable short-term clinical and angiographic results.
