Journal ArticleDOI
Impacts of 17β-estradiol, including environmentally relevant concentrations, on reproduction after exposure during embryo-larval-, juvenile- and adult-life stages in zebrafish (Danio rerio)
François Brion,Charles R. Tyler,Xavier Palazzi,B. Laillet,Jean-Marc Porcher,Jeanne Garric,Patrick Flammarion +6 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that early life stages of zebrafish are sensitive to low concentrations of E2 and provides relevant data that could be used for the adaptation of existing fish early life stage test for the in vivo testing of estrogenic compounds.
Journal ArticleDOI
Induction of Fish Vitellogenin and Alterations in Testicular Structure: Preliminary Results of Estrogenic Effects in Chub (Leuciscus cephalus)
Patrick Flammarion,François Brion,Marc Babut,Jeanne Garric,Bernard Migeon,Patrice Noury,Eric Thybaud,Charles R. Tyler,Xavier Palazzi +8 more
TL;DR: Preliminary laboratory and field results show that chub could be an interesting fish species for further studies of biological effects of environmental estrogens in the aquatic environment.
Effect of estradiol on vitellogenesis and reproductive parameters in Zebrafish (Danio rerio)
François Brion,G. Triffault,Xavier Palazzi,M. Forraz,Jeanne Garric,Bernard Migeon,Patrice Noury,Jean-Marc Porcher,Eric Thybaud,Charles R. Tyler,Patrick Flammarion +10 more
Journal ArticleDOI
A Technical Guide to Sampling the Beagle Dog Nervous System for General Toxicity and Neurotoxicity Studies
TL;DR: A trimming scheme suitable for evaluating the unique neuroanatomic features of the dog brain in nonclinical toxicity studies is provided and the locations and approaches to collecting uncommonly sampled peripheral nervous system sites are demonstrated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Toxicologic Pathology Forum: Opinion on Not Euthanizing Control Animals in the Recovery Phase of Non-Rodent Toxicology Studies
Kyathanahalli S. Janardhan,Radhakrishna Sura,Smita Salian-Mehta,Thierry Flandre,Xavier Palazzi,Doris Zane,Bhanu Singh,Binod Jacob,Renee R. Hukkanen,Muthafar Al-Haddawi,Bindu Bennet,Victoria A. Laast,Donna W. Lee,Richard Peterson,Annette Romeike,Frédéric Schorsch,Magali Guffroy +16 more
TL;DR: Opinions are provided on scenarios that may or may not necessitate euthanasia of recovery phase vehicle control animals in nonclinical toxicology studies involving dogs and nonhuman primates.
