TL;DR: Zhang et al. as mentioned in this paper developed a trust-aware approach based on deep learning to alleviate the initialization dependence of matrix factorization for recommender systems, and the results of DMF were applied to initialize the updating variables of Deep-MDAE to further improve the recommendation performance.
