Simultaneous inversion for the space-dependent diffusion coefficient and the fractional order in the time-fractional diffusion equation

TL;DR: In this paper, a modified optimal perturbation algorithm with a regularization parameter chosen by a sigmoid-type function is proposed for the discretization of the minimization problem.
Journal ArticleDOI

Simultaneous Inversion for Space-Dependent Diffusion Coefficient and Source Magnitude in the Time Fractional Diffusion Equation

TL;DR: In this article, the problem of simultaneously identifying the space-dependent diffusion coefficient and the source magnitude in the time fractional diffusion equation from viewpoint of numerics was solved by employing an implicit finite difference scheme, and the inverse problem is solved by applying the homotopy regularization algorithm with Sigmoid-type homogopy parameter.
Journal ArticleDOI

Heuristic discrepancy principle for variational regularization of inverse problems

TL;DR: In this article, a variational regularization for inverse problems in a general form is considered and a heuristic parameter choice rule for choosing the regularization parameter which does not require the information on the noise level and is therefore purely data driven is proposed.
Journal ArticleDOI

An inverse problem of determining the fractional order in the TFDE using the measurement at one space-time point

TL;DR: In this article , the inverse problem is transformed to a nonlinear algebraic equation of the fractional order based on the solution to the forward problem, which possesses a unique solution by the strict monotonicity of the Mittag-Leffler function.
