Research on the Complex Characteristics of Freight Transportation from a Multiscale Perspective Using Freight Vehicle Trip Data

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used a complex network approach from multidimensional perspectives based on freight vehicle trips data to examine the topological structure and complexity of the freight transportation networks and introduced the community detection method to reveal the networks' clustering characteristics.
Journal ArticleDOI

Exploring Risk Factors with Crash Severity on China Two-Lane Rural Roads Using a Random-Parameter Ordered Probit Model

TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper investigated the risk factors influencing crash severity on two-lane rural roads in China and found that high risk driving behaviour (e.g., fatigue driving, speeding, and converse driving), weekends, and holidays are found to have significant contribution to increasing the probability of traffic crash injuries and fatalities.
Journal ArticleDOI

Estimation of urban arterial travel time distribution considering link correlations

TL;DR: The results indicate that the proposed pair-copula construction approach to estimate the probability distribution of urban arterial travel times from link travel time distributions can dynamically capture the positively correlated, negatively correlated, and uncorrelated relationships between link travel times.
Journal ArticleDOI

Investigating the Accessibility between Civil Airports and Tourist Locations in Tourist Cities in Yunnan Province, China

TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors calculated the service coverage of civil airports for tourist locations in Yunnan in selected years by using an accessibility calculation method with the shortest path and a spatial analysis method in ArcGIS software.
Journal ArticleDOI

Modeling and analyzing of family intention for the customized student routes: A case study in China

TL;DR: In this paper, a whole theoretical framework considering travel constraint and "service quality-satisfaction-behavior" is constructed to explore the choice intention of parents, and the structural equation modeling is firstly applied to analyze households demand towards customized student routes from four dimensions: travel constraints, low satisfaction, service quality and household influences.
