Fabrication of environmentally friendly Losartan potassium film for corrosion inhibition of mild steel in HCl medium

TL;DR: In this article, a green antihypertensive drug Losartan potassium (LP) with superior corrosion protection ability was developed for the first time, and the results indicated that LP exhibited superior mixed-type corrosion protection to steel at different temperatures owing to the formation of compact and ordered LP-adsorption film on steel surface.
Journal ArticleDOI

Self-assembling anchored film basing on two tetrazole derivatives for application to protect copper in sulfuric acid environment

TL;DR: In this paper, two tetrazole compounds (BTA, BTTA) self-assembled on copper substrate and their inhibition effect toward copper corrosion in 0.5 M H2SO4 was evaluated through atomic force microscopy (AFM), scanning electron microscopy, weight loss measurement along with electrochemical techniques including electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and potentiodynamic polarization.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ureidopyrimidinone-containing Poly(amino ester) for corrosion inhibition of mild steel in acidic medium

TL;DR: Ureidopyrimidinone-containing Poly(amino ester) (UPy-D400-PEGDA) was synthesized by the Michael addition reaction of Poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate and polyether amine grafted 2-ureido-4[1H]-pyrimidINone motifs, and its corrosion inhibition efficiency on Q235 steel in 1 mol/L HCl medium was studied by polarization curve and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, as well as corrosion product analysis as discussed by the authors .
