Journal ArticleDOI

NaCrO2 is a Fundamentally Safe Positive Electrode Material for Sodium-Ion Batteries with Liquid Electrolytes

TL;DR: In this paper, the performance of NaCrO2 as a positive electrode material for sodium-ion batteries was tested at room temperature using two-electrode coin cells with NaClO4/PC electrolyte.
Journal ArticleDOI

Study of the Reactivity of Na/Hard Carbon with Different Solvents and Electrolytes

TL;DR: In this paper, the reactivity of hard carbon (called Na/HC below) in different solvents and electrolytes was studied by Accelerating Rate Calorimeter (ARC) and X-ray diffraction was used to analyse the products after all ARC experiments.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Impact of Vinylene Carbonate, Fluoroethylene Carbonate and Vinyl Ethylene Carbonate Electrolyte Additives on Electrode/Electrolyte Reactivity Studied Using Accelerating Rate Calorimetry

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of three additives (Vinylene Carbonate (VC), fluoroethylene carbonate (FEC), and vinyl ethylene carbonate electrolyte additives on electrode/electrolyte reactivity at elevated temperatures were investigated using accelerating rate calorimetry (ARC).
Journal ArticleDOI

Comparison of Li [ Li1 ∕ 9Ni1 ∕ 3Mn5 ∕ 9 ] O2, Li [ Li1 ∕ 5Ni1 ∕ 5Mn3 ∕ 5 ] O2, LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4, and LiNi2 ∕ 3Mn1 ∕ 3O2 as High Voltage Positive Electrode Materials

TL;DR: Li[Li 1/9 Ni 1/3 Mn 5/9 ]O 2, Li[Li 0.5 Mn 1.5 O 4 ]O 4, and LiNi 2/3 NM 1 /3 O 2 were prepared from appropriate coprecipitated hydroxides and heated with lithium hydroxide in air to make the lithium transition metal oxides as mentioned in this paper.
