Journal ArticleDOI

A Chiral N,N'-Dioxide-Zn(II) Complex Catalyzes the Enantioselective [2+2] Cycloaddition of Alkynones with Cyclic Enol Silyl Ethers.

TL;DR: This work presents the first successful example for the catalytic enantioselective [2+2] cycloaddition of internal alkynes with cyclic enol silyl ethers to give fully substituted cyclobutenes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Asymmetric Synthesis of Spiro-epoxyoxindoles by the Catalytic Darzens Reaction of Isatins with Phenacyl Bromides

TL;DR: The asymmetric Darzens reaction between phenacyl bromides and N-protected isatins was developed to synthesize potentially bioactive spiro-epoxyoxindoles and obtained in moderate to good yields and enantioselectivities catalyzed by chiral N,N'-dioxide-Co(acac)2 complexes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Highly diastereo- and enantioselective synthesis of spirooxindole-cyclohexaneamides through N,N′-dioxide/Ni(II)-catalyzed Diels–Alder reactions

TL;DR: Highly efficient asymmetric Diels-Alder reactions of methyleneindolinones with 1,3-dienylcarbamates and 1,2-dihydropyridines have been accomplished by using a chiral N,N'-dioxide/nickel(ii) complex as an efficient catalyst.
Journal ArticleDOI

N,N′-Dioxide/nickel(II)-catalyzed asymmetric Diels–Alder reaction of cyclopentadiene with 2,3-dioxopyrrolidines and 2-alkenoyl pyridines

TL;DR: A chiral N,N'-dioxide/Ni(OTf)2 complex-catalyzed asymmetric Diels-Alder reaction of cyclopentadiene with 2,3-dioxopyrrolidines and 2-alkenoyl pyridines has been achieved and the corresponding chiral bridged compounds were obtained in high yields.
Journal ArticleDOI

Catalytic Asymmetric Inverse-Electron-Demand Hetero-Diels–Alder Reaction of Dioxopyrrolidines with Hetero-Substituted Alkenes

TL;DR: A highly efficient enantioselective inverse-electron-demand hetero-Diels-Alder reaction of dioxopyrrolidines with heterosubstituted alkenes has been realized by using a N, N'-dioxide/Ni(II) complex as the catalyst.
