Journal ArticleDOI
Role of TRPV1 in the differentiation of mouse embryonic stem cells into cardiomyocytes.
Yan Qi,Zenghua Qi,Zhichao Li,Chun-Kit Wong,Chun So,Iek-Chi Lo,Yu Huang,Xiaoqiang Yao,Suk Ying Tsang +8 more
TL;DR: An important functional role of TRPV1 channels in the differentiation of mESCs into cardiomyocytes is demonstrated and quantitative PCRs showed an increased TRpV1 expression during the differentiation process.
Journal ArticleDOI
Uniaxial cyclic stretch stimulates TRPV4 to induce realignment of human embryonic stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes
TL;DR: Data strongly suggest endogenous TRPV4 channels as a mechanosensor, mediating cyclic stretch-induced realignment of hESC-CMs, so that these cells can be more adult-like for potential future application in drug screening and in vitro studies of cardiac function.
Journal ArticleDOI
The kinesin KIF14 is overexpressed in medulloblastoma and downregulation of KIF14 suppressed tumor proliferation and induced apoptosis.
Kay Ka-Wai Li,Yan Qi,Tian Xia,Aden Ka-Yin Chan,Zhen-Yu Zhang,Abudumijiti Aibaidula,Rong Zhang,Liangfu Zhou,Yu Yao,Ho Keung Ng +9 more
TL;DR: It is concluded that KIF14 is dysregulated in MB and is an adverse prognostic factor for survival and is a potential therapeutic target for MB.
Journal ArticleDOI
CRMP1 Inhibits Proliferation of Medulloblastoma and Is Regulated by HMGA1
TL;DR: HMGA1 can bind CRMP1 promoter by chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) assay and transcriptional profiling and quantitative RT-PCR revealed increased expression ofCRMP1 in HMGA1-depleted cells, suggesting that CR MP1 may be a downstream target of HM GA1 in MB.
