Investigation on gelation nucleation kinetics of waxy crude oil emulsions by their thermal behavior

TL;DR: In this paper, a kinetic model was developed and validated based on the thermal parameters obtained from differential scanning calorimetry cooling thermograms, and the nucleation rates of various water-in-waxy crude oil emulsions were determined in the temperature range in which gelation occurs.
Journal ArticleDOI

Multi-objective optimization of energy consumption in crude oil pipeline transportation system operation based on exergy loss analysis

TL;DR: The results found that the total oil transportation cost and the total exergy loss of the pipeline transportation system after optimization have seen an obvious improvement in the effective utilization of energy when compared to pre-optimized levels.
Journal ArticleDOI

Thermal decomposition mechanism of some hydrocarbons by ReaxFF-based molecular dynamics and density functional theory study

TL;DR: In this paper, pyrolysis processes of 11 typical hydrocarbons (isobutane, isopentane, isohexane, n-butane and toluene) are performed by using ReaxFF MD and DFT method.
Journal ArticleDOI

Study on Two-Phase Oil–Water Gelling Deposition Behavior in Low-Temperature Transportation

TL;DR: In this article, a physical understanding of the gelling deposition during flow of two-phase oil-water in the pipelines is discussed, and the effect of emulsified water on gelation is discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Numerical simulation of flow behavior of particles in a liquid-solid stirred vessel with baffles

TL;DR: In this article, a two-fluid model combining with kinetic theory of granular flow in a liquid-solid stirred vessel with baffles was used to obtain interphase interaction of liquid and solids phases.
