Journal ArticleDOI
Microstructure and properties of (SiC, TiB2)/B4C composites by reaction hot pressing
TL;DR: In this article, the phase composition of B 4 C, α-SiC, BN and TiB 2 was determined by means of XRD, SEM of surface thermally etched and TEM.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of rare earth addition on super-hydrophilic property of TiO2/SiO2 composite film
Kai-shu Guan,Yansheng Yin +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the effects of CeO 2 or/and La 2 O 3 addition on photo-generated hydrophilicity of TiO 2 /SiO 2 film were investigated with the testing of X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, ultraviolet visible spectrograph (UV-vis) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).
Journal ArticleDOI
Preparation of cerium-doped TiO2 film on 304 stainless steel and its bactericidal effect in the presence of sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB)
TL;DR: Cerium-doped TiO(2) film with bactericidal activity was prepared on 304 stainless steel by a sal-gel process as discussed by the authors, and the films covered with sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB) medium were exposed to sunlight for 6 h and the bactericidal efficiency was evaluated with most probable number technique.
Journal ArticleDOI
Preparation of TiO2 nanofilm via sol–gel process and its photocatalytic activity for degradation of methyl orange
Lijuan Chen,Jintao Tian,Huang Qiu,Yansheng Yin,Xin Wang,Jinhui Dai,Pingwei Wu,Aiping Wang,Lei Chu +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the preparation of TiO 2 nanofilm was conducted on common glass via the sol-gel process, and the photolysis evaluation through MO degradation revealed that the film from acidic sol possessed apparently better photocatalytic activity than that from alkaline sol.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of microstructure on the fracture behavior of micro–nano ZTA composite
TL;DR: In this paper, the microstructural effect on the crack propagation was investigated using two kinds of micro nano ZTA composites made of micro-Al 2 O 3 and nano-ZrO 2 particles.
