Principles of power-frequency magnetic field shielding with flat sheets in a source of long conductors

TL;DR: In this article, a theoretical analysis of a two-dimensional model of power-frequency magnetic field shielding is presented, which consists of multiple linear and conducting layers, as well as multiple current-carrying conductors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Lightning Grounding Grid Model Considering Both the Frequency-Dependent Behavior and Ionization Phenomenon

TL;DR: In this article, a modified partial element equivalent circuit method for predicting the transient behavior of the grounding grid is presented. But the proposed method is verified with experimental results available in the literature, and the ionization and propagation effects on grounding grid performance are discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Failure analysis of composite dielectric of power capacitors in distribution systems

TL;DR: In this paper, the reliability of capacitor units installed and operated in a distribution system during the period 1980 through 1990 was investigated, and two approaches, statistical and physical, were utilized in this study.
Journal ArticleDOI

Tripping Characteristics of Residual Current Devices Under Nonsinusoidal Currents

TL;DR: In this paper, an experimental investigation into the operating characteristics of residual current devices (RCDs) under an unbalanced current was carried out and it was found that RCD tripping is primarily determined by the peak value of the unbalanced currents.
Journal ArticleDOI

Lightning data observed with lightning location system in Guang-Dong Province, China

TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper presented an investigation into cloud-to-ground lightning activity data collected by a lightning detection system in the Guang-Dong Province, the southernmost in China.
