Why Only Ionic Liquids with Unsaturated Heterocyclic Cations Can Dissolve Cellulose: A Simulation Study

TL;DR: In this article, four kinds of ionic liquids (ILs) composed of unsaturated and saturated cations (1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium, 1 -butylpyridinium, 3-methylpyrrolidiniametrized polysilicon, and the acetate anion) were explored as the solvents for a cellulose bunch by molecular dynamics simulation, and it was shown that the cellulose lot only dissolved in the ILs containing cations with an unsaturated heterocyclic ring

Theoretical Study of Ionic Liquid Clusters Catalytic Effect on the Fixation of CO2

TL;DR: In this paper, the existence of hydroxyl-functionalized ionic liquid (HFIL) clusters in a series of systems containing HFILs was studied by molecular dynamics simulations.
