TL;DR: In this paper, the terminal vinylidene complex 2 was doubly deprotonated with t-BuLi to generate the reactive lithioacetylide complex, (η5-C5Me5)(PPh3)2Ru(C⋮CLi) in 86 and 39% yields, respectively.

TL;DR: The chemical oxidation of [Rc'C[triple bond]CRc'] yielded a stable two-electron-oxidized species, the structure of which was confirmed by X-ray crystallography to be [Ru2(mu2-eta(6):eta( 6)-C5Me 4C=CC5Me4)(eta-C5H5)2](BF4)2.
