Journal ArticleDOI
Ultrasensitive strain sensor based on Vernier- effect improved parallel structured fiber-optic Fabry-Perot interferometer
TL;DR: Experimental results show that the proposed parallel structured fiber-optic FPI can provide an ultra-high strain sensitivity of -43.2 pm/με, which is 4.6 times higher than that of a single open-cavity FPI.
Journal ArticleDOI
A probabilistically shaped star-CAP-16/32 modulation based on constellation design with honeycomb-like decision regions
Jianxin Ren,Bo Liu,Xing Xu,Lijia Zhang,Yaya Mao,Xiangyu Wu,Ying Zhang,Lei Jiang,Xiangjun Xin +8 more
TL;DR: A novel, probabilistically shaped star-CAP-16/32 modulation based on constellation design with honeycomb-like decision regions with better improvement with regards to constellation figure of merit (CFM) and bit error rate (BER) performance is proposed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Chaotic constant composition distribution matching for physical layer security in a PS-OFDM-PON.
Jianxin Ren,Bo Liu,Delin Zhao,Shun Han,Shuaidong Chen,Yaya Mao,Wu Yongfeng,Xiumin Song,Jianye Zhao,Xueyang Liu,Xiangjun Xin +10 more
TL;DR: The combined superiority of BER and security performance enables a promising prospect for the proposed PS chaotic encryption scheme in a future low-cost optical access network.
Journal ArticleDOI
High security OFDM-PON with a physical layer encryption based on 4D-hyperchaos and dimension coordination optimization.
Jianye Zhao,Bo Liu,Yaya Mao,Rahat Ullah,Jianxin Ren,Shuaidong Chen,Lei Jiang,Shun Han,Jingyi Zhang,Jiajia Shen +9 more
TL;DR: The obtained results show that the proposed security-enhanced OFDM-PON has high sensitivity and security and can be well compatible with PS and OFDM technologies.
Journal ArticleDOI
A robust probabilistic shaping PON based on symbol-level labeling and rhombus-shaped modulation.
Xing Xu,Bo Liu,Xiangyu Wu,Lijia Zhang,Yaya Mao,Jianxin Ren,Ying Zhang,Lei Jiang,Xiangjun Xin +8 more
TL;DR: A probabilistic shaping passive optical network based on symbol-level labeling and rhombus-shaped modulation is proposed in this paper, which indicates optical access network can be deployed in a flexible and robust way with reasonable costs.
