Guangwei Li,Ping Zhang,Jinping Wang,Edward W. Gregg,Wenying Yang,Qiuhong Gong,Hui Li,Hongliang Li,Yayun Jiang,Yali An,Ying Shuai,Bo Zhang,Jing-ling Zhang,Theodore J. Thompson,Robert B. Gerzoff,Gojka Roglic,Yinghua Hu,Peter H. Bennett +17 more
TL;DR: Group-based lifestyle interventions over 6 years can prevent or delay diabetes for up to 14 years after the active intervention, however, whether lifestyle intervention also leads to reduced CVD and mortality remains unclear.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effects of insulin resistance and insulin secretion on the efficacy of interventions to retard development of type 2 diabetes mellitus: the DA Qing IGT and Diabetes Study.
Guangwei Li,Yinghua Hu,Wenying Yang,Yayun Jiang,Jinping Wang,Jian-zhong Xiao,Ze-xi Hu,Xiao-ren Pan,Barbara V. Howard,Peter H. Bennett +9 more

Journal ArticleDOI
[Effect of lifestyle interventions on reduction of cardiovascular disease events and its mortality in pre-diabetic patients:long-term follow-up of Da Qing Diabetes Prevention Study].
Yan-yan Chen,Jin-ping Wang,Yali An,Qiuhong Gong,Yifan He,Bo Zhang,Hui Li,Ying Shuai,Xinran Tang,Yayun Jiang,Jing Hong,Wenying Yang,Yinghua Hu,Guangwei Li +13 more
TL;DR: A six-year lifestyle intervention in this population of people with pre-diabetes can reduce both the incidence of cardiovascular event and CVD mortality, and subjects with IGT were at high risk for cardiovascular events and mortality.
