Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of exogenous glutathione and cysteine on growth, lead accumulation, and tolerance of Iris lactea var. chinensis

TL;DR: Analysis of protein expression in plants by exogenous GSH and buthionine sulfoximine (BSO) application showed that the proteins regulate various enzymes involved in GSH biosynthesis and play certain roles in Pb accumulation and tolerance of I. lactea var.
Journal ArticleDOI

Environmental cues induce changes of steviol glycosides contents and transcription of corresponding biosynthetic genes in Stevia rebaudiana.

TL;DR: The obtained results strongly suggest that the effect of environmental cues on steviol glycosides contents and transcription of corresponding biosynthetic genes in S. rebaudiana is significant.
Journal ArticleDOI

The evolutionary history of the sucrose synthase gene family in higher plants.

TL;DR: The present study reveals the evolution of the SUS gene family in higher plants and provides new insights into the evolutionary conservation and functional divergence of angiosperm SUS genes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Pb uptake and toxicity to Iris halophila tested on Pb mine tailing materials

TL;DR: Pb tolerant mechanisms, plant physiological response and Pb sub-cellular localization in the root cells of Iris halophila were studied and indicated that I. halophila is a promising plant in the phytoremediation of Pb contaminated environment.
Journal ArticleDOI

The chromosome-level Stevia genome provides insights into steviol glycoside biosynthesis.

TL;DR: Based on Illumina, PacBio, and Hi-C sequencing, Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper constructed a chromosome-level assembly of Stevia covering 1416 Mb with a contig N 50 value of 616.85 kb and a scaffold N50 value of 106.55 Mb.
