Hypoxia Enhances the Generation of Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells
TL;DR: Document S1.
Journal ArticleDOI
A novel efficient feeder-free culture system for the derivation of human induced pluripotent stem cells
Masato Nakagawa,Yukimasa Taniguchi,Sho Senda,Nanako Takizawa,Tomoko Ichisaka,Kanako Asano,Asuka Morizane,Daisuke Doi,Jun Takahashi,Masatoshi Nishizawa,Yoshinori Yoshida,Taro Toyoda,Kenji Osafune,Kiyotoshi Sekiguchi,Shinya Yamanaka +14 more
TL;DR: It is found that recombinant laminin-511 E8 fragments are useful matrices for maintaining hESCs and hiPSCs when used in combination with a completely xeno-free (Xf) medium, StemFit™, and results indicate thatHiPSCs can be generated and maintained under this novel Ff and Xf culture system.
Journal ArticleDOI
Targeted Disruption of HLA Genes via CRISPR-Cas9 Generates iPSCs with Enhanced Immune Compatibility.
Huaigeng Xu,Bo Wang,Miyuki Ono,Akihiro Kagita,Kaho Fujii,Noriko Sasakawa,Noriko Sasakawa,Tatsuki Ueda,Peter Gee,Peter Gee,Misato Nishikawa,Masaki Nomura,Fumiyo Kitaoka,Tomoko Takahashi,Keisuke Okita,Yoshinori Yoshida,Shin Kaneko,Akitsu Hotta,Akitsu Hotta +18 more
TL;DR: Two genome-editing strategies for making immunocompatible donor iPSCs are shown, estimated to be immunologically compatible with >90% of the world's population, greatly facilitating iPSC-based regenerative medicine applications.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ultrastructural maturation of human-induced pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes in a long-term culture.
T Kamakura,Takeru Makiyama,Kenichi Sasaki,Yoshinori Yoshida,Yimin Wuriyanghai,Jiarong Chen,Tetsuhisa Hattori,Seiko Ohno,Toru Kita,Minoru Horie,Shinya Yamanaka,Takeshi Kimura +11 more
TL;DR: The structural maturation process of hiPSC-CMs through 1-year of culture revealed ultrastructural sarcomeric changes accompanied by delayed formation of M-bands.
Journal ArticleDOI
Long-term clinical and angiographic follow-up after coronary stent placement in native coronary arteries
Takeshi Kimura,Kenichi Abe,Satoshi Shizuta,Keita Odashiro,Yoshinori Yoshida,Koyu Sakai,Kazuaki Kaitani,Katsumi Inoue,Yoshihisa Nakagawa,Hiroyoshi Yokoi,Masashi Iwabuchi,Naoya Hamasaki,Hideyuki Nosaka,Masakiyo Nobuyoshi +13 more
TL;DR: The efficacy and safety of coronary stenting seemed to be clinically sustained at 7 to 11 years of follow-up, however, late luminal renarrowing beyond 4 years was common, which demonstrates the need for further follow-ups.
