Search for microscopic black holes in a like-sign dimuon final state using large track multiplicity with the ATLAS detector

Georges Aad, +2924 more
TL;DR: In this article, a search for microscopic black holes in a like-sign dimuon final state in proton-proton collisions at √s=8 TeV was presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Development of on-chip pattern processing in event-driven SOI pixel detector for X-ray astronomy with background rejection purpose

TL;DR: In this article, an on-chip pattern processing in the event-driven silicon-on-insulator pixel detector for X-ray astronomy with background rejection purpose is reported. But the work in this paper is limited to the case of particle background rejection.
Journal ArticleDOI

Nondestructive Detection of Tilted Planar Flaws on Back Surfaces Using Ultrasonic Wave Interference

TL;DR: In this paper, a new method was proposed to detect a tilted planar flaw on the back surface of a plate using the interference of ultrasonic waves, where the existence of the flaw and its height were estimated by parameter Bh, which shows the first amplitude of the interference fringe.
