Conjugated fatty acid containing monoglycerides and process for producing them

TL;DR: In this paper, a process for deacidification and purification of a glyceride product containing a monoglyceride, characterized in that alkali is added to the glycerides product comprising or comprising as a major ingredient the monoglycemy acid, whereby the free fatty acid present in the product is neutralized to give a saponification product.

Method of purifying crude xanthophylls

TL;DR: In this article, a process for purifying a crude xanthophyll which is characterized by acting a lipase on the crude Xanthophophyll, which is obtained by extracting algae with a solvent, in the present of water under an acidic condition without adjusting the pH whereupon the contaminating neutral lipids (mono-, di- and triglycerides) are selectively hydrolyzed, subjecting the lipase-treated liquor to oil/water separation and removing free fatty acids from the oil layer fractioned thereby elevating the content of xanthophll.
Journal ArticleDOI

Amino acid residues contributing to stabilization of Fusarium heterosporum lipase

TL;DR: Findings showed that the lipase with the C-terminal peptide was stabilized by an ionic bond between the negative charge of Asp293 and positive charge of an amino acid of the N-Terminal large peptide, and suggested that the 13-amino acid region from theC-terminus participated in thelipase stability.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Novel α-Amino-Acid Esterase from Bacillus mycoides Capable of Forming Peptides of DD- and DL-Configurations

TL;DR: The potential utility of the newly isolated enzyme for the synthesis of D-amino acid-containing peptides is indicated, as it failed to hydrolyze casein as well as peptides including diastereomers of diphenylalanine and dialanine, indicating that the enzyme would not cause secondary hydrolysis of once-formed peptides.

Production of oil and fat containing highly unsaturated fatty acid-containing triglyceride

TL;DR: In this paper, an immobilized lipase was used to obtain the subject oil and fat for medicines, foods, etc., for health containing a highly unsaturated fatty acid in high concentration by reacting an oil and a fat with a lipase acting on only ester bond in 1, 3 position of triglyceride in the presence of a middle-chain fatty acid.
