Firstly,the article discessed intelligent furniture’s concept, characteristics and composition of the form.Secondly,it classified the intelligent furniture from different angles.According to the characteristics of intelligent furniture,we summed up the general design principles and methods of how to design the intelligent furniture.Finally,by the different function of use ,the design of intelligent furniture products were analyzed in detail.

Research of Intelligent Furniture Design

This paper briefly outlines the concept, the theoretical structure and the industrial trend of intelligent furniture. It also summarizes the general situation of intelligent furniture in foreign countries. Moreover, it raises questions in designing our native intelligent furniture, developing measures, and proposes prospects for development of intelligent furniture in China.
