Fatigue reliability assessment of steel bridge details integrating weigh-in-motion data and probabilistic finite element analysis

TL;DR: In this paper, an advanced traffic load model is developed based on weigh-in-motion data and a probabilistic finite element analysis approach is proposed to evaluate the time-dependent fatigue reliability levels of steel bridge details.
Journal ArticleDOI

Field stress/displacement monitoring and fatigue reliability assessment of retrofitted steel bridge details

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present the field stress and displacement measurements in controlled load tests and long-term monitoring to investigate the performance of two retrofitted details, which were used to alleviate the cracking problems of an existing steel bridge.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fatigue reliability analysis of steel bridge details based on field-monitored data and linear elastic fracture mechanics

TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented the fatigue reliability analysis of welded details of a 40-year old steel box-girder bridge, based on the linear elastic fracture mechanics (LEFM) and the long-term stress monitoring.
Journal ArticleDOI

Probabilistic Assessment of Deteriorating Prestressed Concrete Box-Girder Bridges under Increased Vehicle Loads and Aggressive Environment

TL;DR: In this article, a probabilistic procedure for the assessment of the time-dependent reliability of existing prestressed concrete (PSC) box-girder bridges is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Semi-empirical formulas on notch stress field and SIF of orthotropic V-shaped thin plate with initial crack under tensile-bending loads

TL;DR: In this paper , a series of multi-parameter models of orthotropic materials were constructed and fitted on the basis of isotropic notch stress field and SIF theoretical formula, and a semi-empirical formula of YI was put forward by combining stress field analysis and multiparameter fitting.
