In situ growth of NiCo2S4 nanotube arrays on Ni foam for supercapacitors: Maximizing utilization efficiency at high mass loading to achieve ultrahigh areal pseudocapacitance

TL;DR: In this paper, the NiCo2S4 nanotube arrays hybrid electrode exhibits an ultrahigh specific capacitance of 14.39 ± 1.39 µm at 5 µm and cycling stability of 92% after 5000 cycles at a high mass loading of 6 µm.
Journal ArticleDOI

One-pot synthesis of porous nickel cobalt sulphides: tuning the composition for superior pseudocapacitance

TL;DR: In this article, a pseudocapacitive material for supercapacitors was synthesized from nickel cobalt sulphides with different stoichiometric nickel and cobalt contents.
Journal ArticleDOI

Facilely synthesized α phase nickel–cobalt bimetallic hydroxides: Tuning the composition for high pseudocapacitance

TL;DR: In this article, a facile and novel precursor conversion method is successfully developed to grow Ni-Co hydroxides with α phase structure, which is robust and versatile enough to be employed to prepare α phase Ni−Co hydrides with similar interconnected flower-like nanostructures even at different Ni and Co contents.
Journal ArticleDOI

One-Pot Fabrication of Layered α-Phase Nickel–Cobalt Hydroxides as Advanced Electrode Materials for Pseudocapacitors

TL;DR: In this paper, the use of 1-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) in the mixed solvent plays the decisive role in the precipitation of metal ions and the formation of α-phase hydroxides.
