D2D-Enabled Mobile User Edge Caching: A Multi-Winner Auction Approach

TL;DR: In this article, a multi-winner auction based caching placement in D2D-enabled caching cellular networks is investigated for edge caching incentive and content caching redundancy reduction, where the payment strategy of the auction is developed as a Nash bargaining game for personal profit fairness among the users who win the auction for content caching.

Optimal Throughput Fairness Trade-offs for Downlink Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access over Fading Channels

TL;DR: In this paper, a two-user downlink NOMA system over fading channels is considered, and the optimal resource allocation is obtained using Lagrangian dual decomposition under full channel state information at the transmitter, while an effective power allocation policy under partial CSIT is also developed based on analytical results.

Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces Aided Multi-Cell NOMA Networks: A Stochastic Geometry Model

TL;DR: The analytical results indicate that 1) the achievable rates reach an upper limit when the length of RIS increases; 2) exploiting RISs can enhance the path loss intercept to improve the performance without influencing the bandwidth; and 3) RIS-aided networks have superior performance than the networks without RISs.

Simultaneously Transmitting and Reflecting Intelligent Omni-Surfaces: Modeling and Implementation

TL;DR: This article discusses four practical hardware implementations of STAR-IOSs as well as three hardware modeling techniques and five channel modeling methods to clarify the taxonomy of smart surface technologies in support of further investigating the family of STARs.

Cache-enabled HetNets With Millimeter Wave Small Cells

TL;DR: In this paper, a cache-enabled heterogeneous network (HetNet), where macro BSs with traditional sub-6 GHz are overlaid by dense mmWave pico BSs, is considered.
