Journal ArticleDOI

Dihydroartemisinin represses esophageal cancer glycolysis by down-regulating pyruvate kinase M2.

TL;DR: The results suggested that DHA might repress esophageal cancer glycolysis partly by down-regulating PKM2 expression, and it is believed thatDHA might be a prospective agent against esophagal cancer.
Journal ArticleDOI

The influence of photodynamic therapy on the Warburg effect in esophageal cancer cells

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that PDT drives the Warburg effect in a time-dependent manner, and pyruvate kinase M2 plays an important role in this progress, which indicated that PKM2 may be a potential molecular target to increase the sensitivity of esophageal cancer cells to PDT.
Journal ArticleDOI

HOXB9 blocks cell cycle progression to inhibit pancreatic cancer cell proliferation through the DNMT1/RBL2/c-myc axis.

TL;DR: In this article , the authors found that HOXB9 mRNA and protein levels are downregulated in pancreatic cancer tissues and cell lines, and they also found that over-expression of HOXb9 inhibits pancreatic cells cell proliferation both in cell lines and in mouse xenograft as well as PDX models.
Journal ArticleDOI

The regulation loop of MARVELD1 interacting with PARP1 in DNA damage response maintains genome stability and promotes therapy resistance of cancer cells

TL;DR: Zhang et al. as discussed by the authors revealed that MARVELD1 acts as a mediator of DDR to perform early events and maintain genome stability, and showed that PARP1 PARylates MARVELd1 at D102, D118 and D130, and in turn, MARveld1 stabilizes PARP 1 by enhancing NAA50-mediated acetylation, thus forming a positive feedback loop.
Journal ArticleDOI

China special issue on gastrointestinal tumor: Regulatory-immunoscore-A novel indicator to guide precision adjuvant chemotherapy in colorectal cancer.

TL;DR: In this article , the densities of CD8+ and FOXP3+ T cells in the tumor and invasive margin were processed by immunohistochemistry and digital pathology to form a scoring system named regulatory-Immunoscore (RIS).
