Journal ArticleDOI
Blueberry polyphenols extract as a potential prebiotic with anti-obesity effects on C57BL/6 J mice by modulating the gut microbiota.
Xinyao Jiao,Yuehua Wang,Yang Lin,Yuxi Lang,Li Enhui,Xiuyan Zhang,Qi Zhang,Ying Feng,Xianjun Meng,Bin Li +9 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that PPE, as a potential prebiotic agent, influences the gut microbiota to positively affect HFD-induced obesity in C57BL/6 J mice.
Journal ArticleDOI
Comparison of polyphenol, anthocyanin and antioxidant capacity in four varieties of Lonicera caerulea berry extracts
TL;DR: Four varieties of Lonicera caerulea berries were compared with respect to extraction yield, fruit weight, total soluble solids, polyphenol and anthocyanin contents, oxygen radical absorbance capacity (ORAC), and anthOCyanin composition.
Journal ArticleDOI
Bioactive flavonoids from Rubus corchorifolius inhibit α-glucosidase and α-amylase to improve postprandial hyperglycemia.
TL;DR: An optimized method for the extraction and enrichment of flavonoids from R. corchorifolius fruit showed significant hypoglycemic effects in mice administered a high dose of glucose, revealing the rich chemical composition and highlighting the potential value of R. Corchor IFOLius fruit flavonoid as dietary supplements.
Journal ArticleDOI
Lonicera caerulea L. Polyphenols Alleviate Oxidative Stress‐Induced Intestinal Environment Imbalance and Lipopolysaccharide‐Induced Liver Injury in HFD‐Fed Rats by Regulating the Nrf2/HO‐1/NQO1 and MAPK Pathways
Bin Li,Zhen Cheng,Xiyun Sun,Xu Si,Ersheng Gong,Yuehua Wang,Jinlong Tian,Chi Shu,Fengming Ma,Dongnan Li,Xianjun Meng +10 more
TL;DR: LCP treatment potentially modulates the intestinal environment and alleviates liver injury by suppressing oxidative stress-related pathways and altering the composition of the intestinal microbiota.
Journal ArticleDOI
Comparative transcriptome analysis of genes involved in anthocyanin synthesis in blueberry.
TL;DR: Variations in anthocyanin and phenolic compounds content in Bluecrop and Northblue blueberry cultivar fruits were studied, and comparative transcriptome analysis was performed to analyze differences in the molecular mechanisms of anthcyanin biosynthesis.
