Journal ArticleDOI
4-Aza-2,3-dehydro-4-deoxypodophyllotoxins: simple aza-podophyllotoxin analogues possessing potent cytotoxicity.
Yukio Hitotsuyanagi,Masamoto Fukuyo,Kyoko Tsuda,Masatsugu Kobayashi,Akira Ozeki,Hideji Itokawa,Koichi Takeya +6 more
TL;DR: Comparison of their cytotoxicity against P-388 leukemia cells revealed that the steric effects of the ring B substituents on the activity are greater than the electronic effects, while the presence of a methoxy group on the ring E is not essential to exhibit potent cytot toxicity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Quassinoids from Eurycoma longifolia
TL;DR: Three quassinoids were isolated from the roots of Eurycoma longifolia Jack and the structures of 1-3 were elucidated by spectroscopic methods, and that of 3 was further confirmed by X-ray crystallography.
Journal ArticleDOI
A cis Amide Bond Surrogate Incorporating 1,2,4-Triazole
TL;DR: A novel cis amide bond surrogate incorporating 1,2,4-triazole was designed and synthesized by the reaction of a thionotripeptide, formic hydrazide, and mercury(II) acetate.
Journal ArticleDOI
Isolation and structure elucidation of teleocidin b-1,b-2,b-3,and b-4
Yukio Hitotsuyanagi,Hirota Fujiki,Masami Suganuma,Norio Aimi,Shinichiro Sakai,Yasuyuki Endo,Koichi Shudo,Takashi Sugimura +7 more
TL;DR: From the mycelia of Streptomyces mediocidicus four metabolites teleocidin B-1, B-2,B-3 and B-4 were isolated and their structures were determined by comparison with the known des-O-methylolivoretin B, and olivoretin D, and by studying the 13C-nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectra.
Journal ArticleDOI
Elucidation of the structure of olivoretin a and d (teleocidin b)
Shin-ichiro Sakai,Norio Aimi,Keiichi Yamaguchi,Yukio Hitotsuyanagi,Chitoshi Watanabe,Kazuteru Yokose,Yasumasa Koyama,Koichi Shudo,Akiko Itai +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the known metabolites, indole-3-aldehyde, cyclo-Leu-Val and phenyl acetamide were isolated from Streptoverticillium olivoreticuli together with pimprinin derivatives.
