Journal ArticleDOI

Hypercapnic Acidosis Attenuates Endotoxin-Induced Nuclear Factor-κB Activation

TL;DR: It is concluded that hypercapnic acidosis would have anti-inflammatory effects essentially through a mechanism inhibiting NF-B activation, leading to downregulation of intercellular adhesion molecule-1 and interleukin-8, which in turn inhibits neutrophil adherence to pulmonary endothelial cells.
Journal ArticleDOI

Granulocyte colony-stimulating factor does not enhance endotoxin-induced acute lung injury in guinea pigs.

TL;DR: Pretreatment with G-CSF tended to attenuate rather than enhance neutrophil-dependent acute lung responses to endotoxin, which was similar to that in the CPA+endotoxin group.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of the NADPH oxidase inhibitor apocynin on septic lung injury in guinea pigs.

TL;DR: It is concluded that the NADPH oxidase inhibitor apocynin attenuates sepsis-induced lung injury in guinea pigs, neutrophils ROS generation measured by CL, and neutrophil-mediated HUVEC injury assessed by 51Cr release.
Journal ArticleDOI

Inhibition of c-Jun NH2-Terminal Kinase Activity Improves Ischemia/Reperfusion Injury in Rat Lungs

TL;DR: In conclusion, JNK plays a pivotal role in mediating lung injury caused by I/R, and inhibition of JNK activity has potential as an effective therapeutic strategy for preventing I-R injury during lung transplantation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Simultaneous measurement of pazufloxacin, ciprofloxacin, and levofloxacin in human serum by high-performance liquid chromatography with fluorescence detection.

TL;DR: The proposed method proved to be simple and reliable for the determination of three fluoroquinolones by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method with fluorescence detection with mean recoveries of pazufloxacin, ciprofloxacsin, and levofloxacIn.
