Journal ArticleDOI

Linker stoichiometry-controlled stepwise supramolecular growth of a flexible Cu2Tb single molecule magnet from monomer to dimer to one-dimensional Chain

TL;DR: A trinuclear complex was synthesized by using a metalloligand [CuL] (H2L = N,N′-bis(salicylidene)-1,3-propanediamine or salpn) as mentioned in this paper, which is used as a new 3d-4f metallatecton for stepwise supramolecular oligomerization along with a simple diimine linker, 4,4′-bipyridine (bpy).
Journal ArticleDOI

A Unique Example of Structural Diversity Tuned by Apparently Innocent o-, m-, and p-Nitro Substituents of Benzoate in Their Complexes of Mn(II) with 4,4′-Bipyridine: 1D Ladder, 2D Sheet, and 3D Framework

TL;DR: In this paper, four new Mn(II) coordination polymers have been synthesized by self-assembly of the primary ligands, benzoate and the o-, m-, and p-isomers of nitrobenzoates, respectively, together with 4,4′-bpy as the secondary spacer.
Journal ArticleDOI

Strong ferromagnetic exchange interactions in hinge-like Dy(O2Cu)2 complexes involving double oxygen bridges.

TL;DR: The present result shows an advantage of doubly oxygen-bridged motifs to built strong ferromagnetic interactions between lanthanide and transition metal ions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Structure and magnetic properties of an unprecedented syn-anti μ-nitrito-1κO:2κO' bridged Mn(III)-salen complex and its isoelectronic and isostructural formate analogue.

TL;DR: The μ-nitrito-1κO:2κO' bridge seems to be a potentially superior magnetic coupler to the formate bridge for the construction of single-molecule/-chain magnets as its coupling constant is greater and the χ (ac)' and χ(ac)'' show frequency dependence.
Journal ArticleDOI

A new family of trinuclear nickel(II) complexes as single-molecule magnets.

TL;DR: Three new trinuclear nickel (II) complexes with the general composition [Ni3 L3 (OH)(X)](ClO4 ) have been prepared in which X is the tridentate N,N,O donor Schiff base ligand 2-[(3-dimethylaminopropylimino)methyl]phenol and all three complexes have a similar Ni3 core motif with three different types of bridging.
