Synthesis of mesoporous silica-tethered phosphonic acid sorbents for uranium species from aqueous solutions
Oksana А. Dudarko,Chamila Gunathilake,Nilantha P. Wickramaratne,V. V. Sliesarenko,Yuriy L. Zub,Joanna Górka,Sheng Dai,Mietek Jaroniec +7 more
TL;DR: One-pot synthesis of highly ordered SBA-15 type silica-tethered phosphonic acid at weakly acidic pH (375) allows for higher loading of phosphonic functionality without significant deterioration of the mesostructure as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Removal of Pb(II) ions from aqueous systems using thiol-functionalized cobalt-ferrite magnetic nanoparticles
TL;DR: In this paper, the removal of Pb2+ ions from water using thiol-functionalized, cobalt-ferrite, magnetic nanoparticles was investigated using co-precipitation method and their surfaces were modified with tetraethoxy silane and 3-mercaptopropyl trimethoxysilane in order to provide a sufficient surface concentration of the thiol (SH) functional groups.
Journal ArticleDOI
Bifunctional silica nanospheres with 3-aminopropyl and phenyl groups. Synthesis approach and prospects of their applications
Sofiya S. Kotsyuda,Veronika V. Tomina,Yuriy L. Zub,Iryna Furtat,A. Lebed,Miroslava Václavíková,Inna V. Melnyk +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, spherical silica particles with bifunctional (Si(CH 2 ) 3 NH 2 / SiC 6 H 5 ) surface layers were synthesized by the Stober method using ternary alkoxysilanes systems.
Journal ArticleDOI
Sorption properties of porous spray-dried microspheres functionalized by phosphonic acid groups
Inna V. Melnyk,Vasyl P. Goncharyk,Lidia I. Kozhara,G. R. Yurchenko,A.K. Matkovsky,Yuriy L. Zub,Вruno Alonso +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the mesoporous silica microspheres with phosphonic groups in their pore surface layer have interesting properties for the sorption of neodymium and dysprosium from aqueous solutions, as well as for the adsorption of n-hexane, water and triethylamine molecules from the gas phase.
