MiR-223 downregulation promotes glomerular endothelial cell activation by upregulating importin α4 and α5 in IgA nephropathy
Hao Bao,Hao Chen,Xiaodong Zhu,Minchao Zhang,Genhong Yao,Yusheng Yu,Weisong Qin,Caihong Zeng,Ke Zen,Zhihong Liu +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the miR-223 mimics inhibited the nuclear localization and DNA binding of p65 and STAT3 but had no effect on the expression of upstream molecules, and importin α4 and α5 (multipurpose nuclear transport receptors), validated as targets of miR223, were responsible for the nuclear transport of p 65 and STAT 3.
Journal ArticleDOI
Interleukin-1 receptor antagonist allele: Is it a genetic link between Henoch-Schönlein nephritis and IgA nephropathy?
TL;DR: Genetic evidence is provided to support the hypothesis that HSPN and certain subgroup of IgAN are closely related diseases and an association of the gene polymorphism of IL-1ra between HSPn and IgAN with recurrent gross hematuria might serve as a key to explore their pathogenesis and eventually a specific intervention.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effects of mycophenolate mofetil for patients with crescentic lupus nephritis.
Zheng Tang,Guang Yang,Chen Yu,Yusheng Yu,Jinquan Wang,Weixin Hu,Caihong Zeng,Huiping Chen,Zhihong Liu,Leishi Li +9 more
TL;DR: To compare the effects, relapse ratio and outcomes between mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) and pulse intravenous cyclophosphamide (CTX) for the induction therapy in patients with crescentic lupus nephritis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Impact of Continuous Quality Improvement Initiatives on Clinical Outcomes in Peritoneal Dialysis
TL;DR: Integration of a CQI process into a PD program can significantly improve the quality of therapy and its outcomes.
Journal Article
The prognosis of biopsy-proven lupus nephritis in chinese patients: long term follow-up of 86 cases.
TL;DR: Renal biopsy evaluation showed that patients with severe active and chronic histologic changes were at risk for developing renal insufficiency and the prognosis of LN and its influence in Chinese patients need more elucidation.
