Pseudomonas putida bacteremia in adult patients: five case reports and a review of the literature
Yusuke Yoshino,Takatoshi Kitazawa,Mahoko Kamimura,Keita Tatsuno,Yasuo Ota,Hiroshi Yotsuyanagi +5 more
TL;DR: Antibiotic susceptibility data of five cases and another previous case showed that patients with bacteremia had a high susceptibility of P. putida to anti-pseudomonal β-lactams, which was good, as 26 (92.9%) of the total 28 cases were cured.
Journal ArticleDOI

Journal ArticleDOI
Clostridium difficile flagellin stimulates toll-like receptor 5, and toxin B promotes flagellin-induced chemokine production via TLR5
Yusuke Yoshino,Takatoshi Kitazawa,Mahoko Ikeda,Keita Tatsuno,Shintaro Yanagimoto,Shu Okugawa,Hiroshi Yotsuyanagi,Yasuo Ota +7 more
TL;DR: Results indicate that toxin B promotes flagellin-induced activation of intestinal epithelial cells, and that C. difficile flageLLin may play a role in the occurrence of C.difficile-associated diseases.
Journal ArticleDOI
Changes in the mean platelet volume levels after bloodstream infection have prognostic value
TL;DR: Investigation of trends in platelet indices during BSI and the relationship between the mean platelet volume (MPV) levels and the prognosis of BSI patients found changes in the MPV levels may be a useful prognostic marker for BSI.
Journal ArticleDOI
Characteristics of Serum Endocan Levels in Infection
TL;DR: Serum endocan level was not identified as a prognostic factor of bacteremia, and further prospective study concerning the relationship between serum endOCan level and b acteremia would be needed.
