Journal Article
An insoluble structural glycoprotein a major constituent of the zonula Zinni.
Zacharias Dische,V.L.N. Murty +1 more
TL;DR: The glycoprotein appears to be a viajor constituent of the zonula fibrils and the compositibn of its carbohydrate suggests a close relationship to the glycop protein of the vitreous body previously obtained in the laboratory as an insoluble precipitate after degradation of the hyaluronic acid of the Vitreous.
Journal ArticleDOI
The aerobic glycolysis of avian red blood cells and its control by intracellular ions in physiological concentrations.
Journal ArticleDOI
The discovery of feedback inhibition
TL;DR: In this paper, Dische described the inhibition by mono-and di-phosphoglyceric acid of the spontaneous and coupled phosphorylation of glucose in intact erythrocytes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nutritional and Endocrine Influences on the Synthesis of Albuminoid in Rat Lenses*: I. The Effect of Restricted Diet and l-thyroxine on the Albuminoid Formation
Journal Article
Glycoproteins of the lens in relation to age and cataract formation. iii. differences in composition and distribution of the carbohydrate of glycoprotein of lens fibers in different regions of the lens.
TL;DR: It has been reported in the two preceding communications that the decapsulated lens of beef and rabbit contain significant amounts of a glycoprotein fraction with a glycan, which essentially consists of galactose, some mannose, glucosamine, fucose, and derivatives of neuraminic acid.
