Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis, characterization, DNA binding, cleavage activity, cytotoxicity and molecular docking of new nano water-soluble [M(5-CH2PPh3-3,4-salpyr)](ClO4)2 (M = Ni, Zn) complexes

TL;DR: In vitro DNA binding studies suggest that the metal complexes act as efficient DNA binders, and the Ni(ii) complexes reveal DNA binding stronger than the corresponding Zn(II) analogues, which is expected due to their z* effect and geometry.
Journal ArticleDOI

A sensitive electrochemical sensor for rapid and selective determination of nitrite ion in water samples using modified carbon paste electrode with a newly synthesized cobalt(II)-Schiff base complex and magnetite nanospheres

TL;DR: In this article, a simple and sensitive electrochemical sensor was developed for determination nitrite ion in water samples by using carbon paste electrode (CPE), which is modified with magnetite nanospheres as nanostructured materials and a newly synthesized cobalt(II)-Schiff base complex.
Journal ArticleDOI

Homodinuclear Ni (II) and Cu (II) Schiff base complexes derived from O-vanillin with a pyrazole bridge: Preparation, crystal structures, DNA and protein (BSA) binding, DNA cleavage, molecular docking and cytotoxicity study

TL;DR: In this paper, two homodinuclear complexes [Ni2(L)(μ-pz)] (C1) and [Cu 2(L) (C2) were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, spectroscopic methods (UV-vis, 1H NMR and IR) and single crystal X-ray crystallography.
Journal ArticleDOI

A nano tetraimine Pd(0) complex: synthesis, characterization, computational studies and catalytic applications in the Heck–Mizoroki reaction in water

TL;DR: In this article, a nano tetraimine Pd(0) complex was successfully prepared by the complexation of palladium acetate with an N,N-bisimine ligand.
