A wheel for vehicle, where decorative members can be installed without a reduction in the thickness of a wheel body, and thereby the wheel has a high degree of design freedom with sufficient strength of the wheel maintained. The wheel has the wheel body (1) constructed from a rim section (10) and a disc section (11) and having decorative holes (141) in the disc section (11) and also has the resin decorative members (2) held by at least the disc section (11) and exposed over the decorative holes (141). Since the decorative members (2) are exposed over the decorative holes (141), the wheel body (1) including spoke sections (14) does not need reduction in the thickness. Also, the design of the decorative members (2) appears in cooperation with the design of the disc section (11), so that the wheel has a high degree of design freedom.

Wheel for vehicle

A vehicle wheel includes a rim portion, a hub portion, a plurality of spokes and a plurality of decorative attachments. Each pair of adjacent spokes defines a window therebetween. The plurality of decorative attachments are secured to the wheel and each define a plurality of rearwardly extending boss portions. Each boss portion abuts the wheel. In certain applications, the boss portions may be received within a respective countersunk hole in the wheel and engaged by a fastener for securing the decorative attachment to the wheel. A free end of each of the boss portions abuts a bottom of its respective countersunk hole and the decorative attachment is otherwise spaced from the wheel to reduce noise issues. Alternatively, the ends of the boss portion may be spaced from the wheel and drawn toward the wheel with the threaded fasteners.

A road wheel includes an outboard surface defining an orifice and a cavity. The road wheel additionally includes an ornament having a bottom surface and a key extending from the bottom surface to interface with the cavity. The ornament also includes a post extending from the bottom surface to interface with the orifice in the outboard surface. The key may include a semi-circular profile. The cavity and key may have corresponding triangular shapes. The post may have an internally threaded portion. The cavity may have a slot oriented along a wheel radius sized to receive the key, and the orifice open in the slot.

Molding machine for different kinds of resins

A cover having deformable narrow spoke portions for partially covering a disk radial portion along a radial direction of the wheel is attached to a wheel base unit. The deformable narrow spoke portions are formed with thin, deformable parts. This permits the deformable narrow spoke portions to follow the deformation of the disk radial portion. Therefore, it is possible to reduce noise produced with external forces received when driving and provide excellent low noise characteristic.

Wheel for motor vehicle

PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of a stepped part on the design surface side of a resin product and to attain a consequent improvement of the quality of external appearance. CONSTITUTION:A top force 15 and a bottom tool 16 being clamped on each other, a first slide core 17 is disposed so that its core face 17a comes into contact with the top force 15, while a second slide core 18 is left moved upward, and a first cavity 20 is formed among the top force and bottom tool 15 and 16 and the first slide core 17. A first resin material is injected into the first cavity 20, so as to mold a louver main body part. The first slide core 17 and the second slide core 18 are replaced thereafter and a second cavity is formed among the louver main body part, the top force and bottom tool 15 and 16 and the second slide core 18. A second resin material is injected into the second cavity, so as to mold a louver edge part. Since the design surface side of the louver edge part is formed by the second slide core 18, no stepped part is formed except the boundary part between the louver main body part and the louver edge part on the occasion when the second resin material is injected.

Manufacture of resin product for automobile

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decorative body of a wheel for a vehicle capable of suppressing backlash between the wheel and the decorative body without cutting machining. SOLUTION: An aluminum wheel has a wheel body 11 and the decorative body 20. The wheel body 11 is casted, and a rim part 12, a disk part, and five spoke parts 14 are integrally molded. The disk part and each spoke part 14 are provided with a storing recessed part 16, and the storing recessed part 16 stores the resin made decorative body 20. The entire decorative body 20 is integrally molded, and its outer surface is plated. The decorative body 20 is fixed to the wheel body 11 with a pair of bolts 25 and nuts 26 via an engaging part 21 on the back surface of the decorative body 20 and a through hole 17 in the storing recessed part 16. A sponge material 22 is interposed between a longitudinal both sides of the storing recessed part 16 and an end surface of the decorative body 20.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decorated aluminum wheel capable of realizing an aluminum wheel enhancing design property and weight reduction at low cost. SOLUTION: In the decorated aluminum wheel, a recess 14a is previously formed on a spoke part of an M shape cross section of a design surface D of the aluminum wheel and a decoration member 18 is attached to the recess 14 so as to be floated from a bottom surface of the recess. The design property of the aluminum wheel is enhanced by constituting the design in which the decoration member 18a and the aluminum wheel are integrated. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ornamental aluminum wheel improving design and reducing weight at low cost. SOLUTION: A recess 14a is formed on a design surface of an aluminum wheel and an ornamental member 18a is attached on the recess 14a to compose a design integrated into the aluminum wheel. The design of the ornamental aluminum wheel is thereby improved.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grill guard for a vehicle capable of securing a specified shape holding property at the normal time and effectively absorbing its stress in the case when the specified stress is added. SOLUTION: A grill guard 1 has an installation part 2 to be installed on a front part of a vehicle B and a main body part 3 formed to be projected forward from the installation part 2. The main body part 3 is furnished with a pair of left and right arm parts 4 extending in the vertical direction of the installation part 2 and a connecting part to connect both of the arm parts 4 to each other. The main body part 3 is formed integrally and in a hollow type of a resin material under a blow molding method. A thin stress absorbing part 6 is formed on a central part of the installation part 2. In the case when more than specified stress is added to the main body part 3, the stress is absorbed and alleviated as the main body part 3 is made of resin at first and the main body part 3 is deflected. Additionally, the installation part 2 is buckled and deformed at the stress absorbing part 6. Consequently, more stress is absorbed and alleviated.
