Organizational trust and safety operation behavior in airline pilots: The mediating effects of organizational identification and organizational commitment

Teachers working at the Turkish Republic Ministry of Education are assigned to work as teachers abroad based on a procedure determined by the Inter-Ministry Common Culture Commission and if they are successful at the assignment and after consideration of the country’s working conditions they can extend for 1 year each time with maximum 4 years of extension (total of 5 years).A part (currently 140 teachers) of the teachers assigned abroad work in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. The teachers assigned abroad, who work as temporary teachers linked to TRNC-MoNES, naturally compare their duties in Turkey and North Cyprus, as well as their relationship with their directors and teachers from many different aspects during their assignment period. The general aim of this study is to evaluate the opinions of teachers who are assigned to work in TRNC as abdoas duty by RT-MoE on organizational trust toward the directors and teachers at their schools

Validation of the Chinese Version of the Multidimensional Workaholism Scale

Bandura’s self-efficacy theory has been extensively studied in the fields of education, sports, military science, commerce and so forth. The primary aim of this study is to explore the relationship between self-efficacy, work engagement, flight experience, and human error among pilots during in-flight missions. The Perceived Professional Self-Efficacy Scale (PPSEC), the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES), and the Safety Operation Behavior Scale (SOBS) were used to evaluate one hundred and forty-three airline pilots’ self-efficacy, work engagement, and human error. Correlation analysis indicated that self-efficacy, work engagement, and human error were significantly correlated with each other. A causal steps regression and bootstrap analysis showed that airline pilots’ self-efficacy significantly influenced their human error in aviation. Meanwhile, work engagement also mediated the relationship between self-efficacy and human error. Multiple group regression analysis showed that flight experience moderated the association between pilots’ self-efficacy and human error. Implications for further research and instructions for how to improve aviation safety are discussed.
