TL;DR: A series of novel 1,2,4-triazolo[4,3-a]pyridin-3(2H)-one derivatives were synthesized and identified by (1)H NMR, single crystal X-ray diffraction, elemental analysis or HRMS, and it was found that some of the title compounds possess high herbicidal activity.
