Journal ArticleDOI

Combretastatin A-4 Analogue: A Dual-Targeting and Tubulin Inhibitor Containing Antitumor Pt(IV) Moiety with a Unique Mode of Action.

TL;DR: Three new Pt(IV) complexes comprising a combretastatin A-4 analogue could significantly improve the antiproliferative activity and overcome the drug resistance of cisplatin in vitro and have the ability to effectively inhibit the tumor growth in the HepG-2 xenograft model.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and antitumor activities of novel α-aminophosphonate derivatives containing an alizarin moiety

TL;DR: The results demonstrated that these compounds may induce apoptosis through a mitochondrion-dependent pathway and involved G1 phase arrest by increasing the production of intracellular Ca(2+) and reactive oxygen species (ROS) and affecting associated enzymes and genes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and pharmacological evaluation of dehydroabietic acid thiourea derivatives containing bisphosphonate moiety as an inducer of apoptosis.

TL;DR: A series of DHAA thiourea derivatives containing bisphosphonate moiety exhibited potent anti-tumor activities against the SK-OV-3, BEL-7404, A549, HCT-116 and NCI-H460 tumor cell lines in vitro and proved a promising inducer of apoptosis that follows both of the mitochondria dependent pathway and the death receptor-mediated pathway.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and antitumor activities of novel rhein α-aminophosphonates conjugates.

TL;DR: Several rhein α-aminophosphonates conjugates (5a-5q) were synthesized and evaluated for in vitro cytotoxicity against HepG- 2, CNE, Spca-2, Hela and Hct-116 cell lines and indicated that 5i showed moderate ability to interact ct-DNA.
Journal ArticleDOI

New Cytotoxic Triterpenoids from the Aerial Parts of Euphorbia sieboldiana

TL;DR: In this article, the EtOH extract of Euphorbia sieboldiana led to the isolation of four new oleanane-type triterpenoids, (1β,2α,3β,19β)-1,2,3,19,19-tetrahydroxyolean-12-en-28-oic acid.
