TL;DR: MMF1 was identified as a macromolecular substance containing both protein and polysaccharide that showed good flocculating performance in treating indigotin printing and dyeing wastewater, and the maximal removal efficiencies of COD and chroma were 79.2% and 86.5%, respectively.

Effect of quorum quenching on the reactor performance, biofouling and biomass characteristics in membrane bioreactors
TL;DR: Results showed that quorum quenching influenced sludge characteristics and biofouling, while not impacting pollutant degradation, and influenced the characteristics, behavior and function of SMP and EPS, which weakened biofilm formation ability but enhanced membrane filterability.
