Numerical investigation of harbor oscillations induced by focused transient wave groups

TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of focused wave groups on harbors has been studied using a fully nonlinear Boussinesq model, FUNWAVE 2.0, based on the Morlet wavelet transform and discrete Fourier transform techniques, and the capability of focused transient wave groups to trigger the harbor resonance phenomenon is revealed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Numerical investigations of gap resonance excited by focused transient wave groups

TL;DR: In this article, the free-surface amplifications not only inside the gap but in the vicinity of the two-box system, the response time and the damping time of the transient gap resonance, the maximum wave loads on both boxes and the relative importance of the higher-order wave loads to the first-order ones were systematically investigated.

Novel port navigation mark

TL;DR: In this paper, a novel port navigation mark was proposed, which consists of a hollow navigation mark body, a mark rod fixed to the top of the mark body through a plurality of supporting rods, and a mark lamp arranged at the top.

Floating structure connecting device

TL;DR: In this article, a floating structure connecting device consisting of a connector base body, two ends of the base body are connected with first connecting pieces and suspension ends of connecting pieces are connecting ends, and the connecting ends can be connected with floating structure modules respectively, and a lead-in hole is formedin one side, opposite to the first connecting piece, of the floating structure module.
