Journal ArticleDOI

Pairing in cuprates from high-energy electronic states

TL;DR: In this article, the in-plane optical conductivity of Bi2Sr2CaCu2O 8 + δ films with small carrier density up to large carrier density (overdoped) was derived from accurate reflectivity data.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ferromagnetism in transparent thin films of MgO

TL;DR: In this article, theoretical and experimental evidences of the appearance of ferromagnetism in MgO thin films were presented. And they also demonstrated that the magnetic moments of the system arise from the spin polarization of the 2p electrons of oxygen atoms surrounding Mg vacancies.
Journal ArticleDOI

Competing Misfit Relaxation Mechanisms in Epitaxial Correlated Oxides

TL;DR: Un unreported experimental evidence is presented of a four-stage hierarchical development of octahedral-framework perturbations resulting from a progressive imbalance between electronic, elastic, andOctahedral tilting energies in La(0.7)Sr( 0.3)MnO( 3) epitaxial thin films grown on SrTiO(3) substrates.
Journal ArticleDOI

Absence of a loss of in-plane infrared spectral weight in the pseudogap regime of Bi(2)Sr(2)CaCu(2)O(8+delta).

TL;DR: In this article, the ab-plane reflectance of Bi-2212 thin films was measured in the $30 -25000 -€ 25000 range for one under-doped sample and one overdoped sample.
Journal ArticleDOI

Tunneling magnetoresistance in Co-ZrO2 granular thin films

TL;DR: In this article, high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (TEM) showed very sharp interfaces between the crystalline particles and the amorphous matrix, and the tunneling magnetoresistance (TMR) was successfully reproduced using the Inoue-Maekawa model.
