Journal ArticleDOI
Aggregation and micelle formation of ionic liquids in aqueous solution
TL;DR: In this article, 1-Butyl-3-methylimidazolium octyl sulfate was found to act as a surfactant above 0.031 M critical micelle concentration.
Journal ArticleDOI
Micelle formation of 1-alkyl-3-methylimidazolium bromide ionic liquids in aqueous solution
TL;DR: In this article, a linear relationship was found between the logarithm of the critical micelle concentration (cmc) and the number of carbon atoms in the surfactant hydrocarbon chain.
Journal ArticleDOI
Inclusion complex formation of sanguinarine alkaloid with cucurbit[7]uril: inhibition of nucleophilic attack and photooxidation
TL;DR: The inclusion of sanguinarine, a biologically active natural benzophenanthridine alkaloid, in cucurbit[7]uril (CB7) was studied by NMR and ground-state absorption spectroscopy, as well as steady-state and time-resolved fluorescence measurements in aqueous solution.
Journal ArticleDOI
Inclusion complex formation of ionic liquids and other cationic organic compounds with cucurbit[7]uril studied by 4',6-diamidino-2-phenylindole fluorescent probe.
TL;DR: DAPI proved to be an excellent fluorescent probe for the investigation of the competitive binding of ionic liquids, surfactants, and biologically important compounds to CB7.

Extensive astrocyte synchronization advances neuronal coupling in slow wave activity in vivo
Zsolt Szabó,László Héja,Gergely Szalay,Orsolya Kékesi,András Füredi,Kornélia Szebényi,Árpád Dobolyi,Tamás I. Orbán,Orsolya Kolacsek,Tamás Tompa,Zsombor Miskolczy,László Biczók,Balázs Rózsa,Balázs Sarkadi,Julianna Kardos +14 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated, for the first time, that the astrocyte network display synchronized recurrent activity in vivo coupled to UP states measured by field recording and neuronal calcium imaging, and conclusively suggest a causal role of theAstrocytic syncytium in SWA generation.
