TL;DR: In this paper, the authors suggest that a more "localized" public education and role-modeling from public officials and health authorities can help a lot in building public trust and contribute to the further development of public health mechanisms in the rolling out and distribution of vaccines against COVID-19.
Abstract: With the rollout of vaccines against COVID-19, an optimistic and a negative attitude among people have arisen. Surprisingly, surveys among people reveal that there is a significant rate of distrust against the vaccines. In a recent short report published in this journal, vaccine hesitancy was found out among medical students. Hence, wide array of research has been springing, recommending various approaches in assisting authorities deal with vaccine hesitancy such as proper and effective strategic communication as a solution. This study suggests however that a more 'localized' public education and role-modelling from public officials and health authorities can help a lot in building public trust. The study aims to contribute to the further development of public health mechanisms in the rolling-out and distribution of vaccines against COVID-19.

TL;DR: Green Productivity (GP) is a new paradigm in sustainable manufacturing where resource conservation and waste minimization constitute the strategy in simultaneously enhancing environmental performance and productivity as discussed by the authors. But, this productivity approach to the sustainability of industries requires the adoption of clean production technology and the development of appropriate indicators and instruments to measure environmental performance in a continuous improvement strategy.
Abstract: Goal, Scope and Background Green Productivity (GP) is a new paradigm in sustainable manufacturing where resource conservation and waste minimization constitute the strategy in simultaneously enhancing environmental performance and productivity. This productivity approach to the sustainability of industries requires the adoption of clean production technology and the development of appropriate indicators and instruments to measure environmental performance in a continuous improvement strategy that focuses on the manufacturing stage of the product life cycle. The analysis may be expanded to include the entire life cycle with increasing details on impacts, improvement strategies and indicators.

TL;DR: In this article, a correspondence aims to understand religiosity as a factor that plays a role in vaccination hesitancy, and it is essential that vaccination be prioritized to facilitate herd immunity.
Abstract: With the surge of COVID-19 cases worldwide, it is essential that vaccination be prioritized to facilitate herd immunity. However, there is vaccine hesitancy reflected in religiosity. This correspondence aims to understand religiosity as a factor that plays a role in vaccination hesitancy. Medical and scientifically sound evidence is influenced by religious beliefs resulting in varied responses toward getting vaccinated such as vaccination hesitancy.

TL;DR: This study provides assistance to mango farmers in Pampanga by identifying the pests and diseases through leaf and fruit markings in enhancing crop management specifically in pesticide application, addressing one of the main factors of the major decline in Philippines' mango production.
Abstract: This study provides assistance to mango farmers in Pampanga by identifying the pests and diseases through leaf and fruit markings in enhancing crop management specifically in pesticide application, addressing one of the main factors of the major decline in Philippines' mango production, which is due to pests and the farmer's uncertainty in using pesticide for each occurrence of pest. Anthracnose, fruit borer and sooty mold were identified using image processing employing multi-SVM and GLCM with 85% accuracy. It was determined by extracting contrast, kurtosis, skewness, and entropy. This research project can be used as a template for other fruit-bearing trees and a basis for crop management per location-based specifically on mango farming using data science.

TL;DR: This study examines the best fitting MDD among four competing models in a sample of overseas Filipino domestic helpers and shows that a two-factor model (Model 2b; Krause et al., 2010) provided the best fit.
Abstract: Emerging research have investigated the factor structure of major depressive disorder (MDD) symptoms based on DSM-5 nomenclature. However, to date, results have been inconsistent on what symptom-structure best represent MDD. This study examines the best fitting MDD among four competing models in a sample of overseas Filipino domestic helpers (N = 232). The results show that a two-factor model (Model 2b; Krause et al., 2010) provided the best fit. The model consist of two factors: somatic and non-somatic/affective symptoms. Somatic component includes sleep difficulties, fatigue, appetite changes, concentration difficulties, and psychomotor agitation/retardation while non-somatic/affective component covers anhedonia, depressed mood, feelings of worthlessness, and thoughts of death. Further, the results reveal a pattern where PHQ-15 somatic symptom-items have a higher significant relationship with MDD's somatic symptoms than with the MDD's non-somatic/affective symptoms. These findings suggest that the items of model 2b are appropriately embedded in their respective factors. Differentiating MDD factors have important clinical implications, particularly in the diagnosis and treatment of depression among overseas Filipino domestic helpers.
