TL;DR: In this paper, the authors explore how technology influences entrepreneurial marketing decisions during the world pandemic (COVID-19) and reveal positive and significant relationships between entrepreneurial opportunity recognition, opportunity development and opportunity exploitation.
Abstract: The prime concern of this study is to explore how technology influences entrepreneurial marketing decisions during the world pandemic (COVID-19). The study uses a sample of 127 SMEs from Bangladesh. Data were collected by sending out questionnaires electronically and by mail. Smart PLS (SEM) 3.0 was used to analyse the data following the quantitative method. The study reveals positive and significant relationships between entrepreneurial opportunity recognition, opportunity development and opportunity exploitation with their entrepreneurial marketing decisions. It also claims that entrepreneurial passion mediates the relationship between entrepreneurial opportunity recognition and opportunity development with their entrepreneurial marketing decisions. However, entrepreneurial passion does not mediate the relationship between entrepreneurial opportunity exploitation and entrepreneurial marketing decisions. The study offers researchers a broader and more wide-ranging view of the importance of artificial intelligence in small firms. Researchers, educators and practitioners will benefit from the findings. The analyses are more complex and varied than the methodologies used in most of the limited previous research.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigate the factors that affect project performance (Phuket sandbox) in Thailand using quantitative approach based on structured questionnaire and the data was collected from Phuket, Thailand.
Abstract: There has been substantial research on megaprojects in project management literature. However, there is dearth of studies empirically investigating performance of new launched megaproject of Thailand that named as “Phuket sandbox”. The core purpose of this project is to normalize covid-19 situation and resuming tourism in Thailand. Therefore, the evaluation of project performance is essential to achieve the targeted goal for success. The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors that affect project performance (Phuket sandbox) in Thailand. This study used quantitative approach based on structured questionnaire and the data was collected from Phuket, Thailand. The survey conducted from team members which are tourism stake holders’ team, immigration team and public service teams including hospitals and hotels who were supposed for the management of Phuket tourism sandbox operations. The study got 222 valid responses only as the members were so busy and partial lockdowns in Thailand hindered the data collection process. The proposed hypothetical model tested by partial least square structural equation modelling. The results of the study found mix findings. The independent variables are team knowledge management, interpersonal conflict, organizational trust, and as significant and dependent variable as project performance through the mediation of psychological capital. The all relationships found to be significant except problem solving competence which have insignificant relationship with project performance as well as problem solving competence and organizational trust have insignificant relation with psychological capital.

TL;DR: This study suggests management to ensure the inculcation of more related areas in the scope by announcing special issues to broaden the journals’ scope as it remained the main reason for limiting HSM from gaining as much attention as it deserved.
Abstract: BACKGROUND: For augmentation and sustainability of Human Systems Management (HSM), it is significant to analyse and reposition journals, which is very well done by bibliometric analysis. OBJECTIVE: The study aims to provide the retrospective of HSM between 1980–2019. METHOD: Scopus database has been employed to bibliographic indicators for the representation of available data for forty years. By utilising the VOSviewer software, bibliographic materials being drawn from keywords, graphical visuals, bibliographic coupling & co-citation analysis have been done. RESULTS: Results enabled to establish that the average number of publications remained almost the same throughout forty years, tinting the journal has been as vital in 2019 for researchers as it was in 1980. Citations originated drastic mounting with recently published documents in comparison with earlier production. CONCLUSIONS: Authors and researchers are suggested to cover knowledge and knowledge management related articles. This study suggests management to ensure the inculcation of more related areas in the scope by announcing special issues to broaden the journals’ scope as it remained the main reason for limiting HSM from gaining as much attention as it deserved.

TL;DR: In this paper, the benefits of emerging technology and developing a scheme for virtual streaming, rather identifying reasons to avoid them, were discussed and validated through Delphi technique method from academia, research aspirants and policy-makers.
Abstract: Year 2020 has cultivated new arena in education. Covid-19 has not only reformed the world but also revived the process of operations. One among them is academics. Never in history of education was a lecture delivered without the physical presence of lecturers, in an academic environment. Even in present wildest innovative decade, the idea of eliminating the academia was not an option. However, after the pandemic encounter, it happened. These are not mere changes, but it is a transformation. While this phenomenon is getting acceptable gradually by takers, the mammoth turnaround is happening in Ph.D. final viva voce defenses too. Practice of online defense is approved by leading Universities so as to avoid stagnation of researchers in final stage. Question is, will it be appropriate to accept final defenses in online stream? and has the institutions developed rubrics to assess the researches which are presented online? Finally, if this is the only choice then how best we can use the technology to generalize it as a system? This research was executed through Delphi technique method from academia, research aspirants and policy-makers. Partial least square is used to quantify the data after interpreting qualitative data. Thirteen homogeneous University’s respondents were used as sample. Focus of this paper remains to substantiate the benefits of emerging technology and developing a scheme for virtual streaming, rather identifying reasons to avoid them.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors compared the growth rate of commercial banks with micro-finance banks, under the shadow of financial exclusion, and to provide a way forward for commercial banks, and concluded that commercial banks are suffering due to financial exclusion and their deposits and lending rates are also decreasing due to micro finance banks.
Abstract: The purpose of the study is to compare the growth rate of commercial banks with microfinance banks, under the shadow of financial exclusion, and to provide a way forward for commercial banks. As we are living in the age of transformation, businesses cannot survive without evolution and necessary transformation. The Telecom sector of Pakistan suffered at the hands of Over-The-Top services, so is happening with the commercial banking. Telecom companies have chosen microfinance banking as their alternative revenue stream which is affecting commercial banks. Microfinance banks, typically mobile phone banking, are showing more growth in deposits and loans than commercial banks. Along with the analysis of industry reports, commercial banks’ managers are also interviewed to perform an accurate analysis of the situation. It has been concluded that commercial banks are suffering due to financial exclusion and their deposits and lending rates are also decreasing due to microfinance banks. It is important for commercial banks to formulate their strategies and introduce new services according to the needs and preferences of their customers and they also need to increase banking awareness of their potential customers.
