TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of various parameters on thermal buckling loads are studied, and the thermal stability problems are solved for a simply-supported rectangular laminate in a state of uniform compressive (or tensile) initial stress plus initial bending stress combined with uniform thermal compressive stress plus thermal bending stress.

TL;DR: A taxonomy for classifying the ways countertrade is conducted is presented in this paper, where the advantages to the trading partners are delineated depending on the respective levels of economic development in their home countries.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors studied the global nonlinear deflection and postbuckling behavior of symmetric angle-ply laminated plates and found that the generalized Poisson's ratio only has a small effect on the problems.

TL;DR: In this paper, the virtual work expression for an orthotropic circular thick plate in a general state of non-uniform initial stress, where the effects of transverse shear and rotary inertia are included, is derived.

TL;DR: The observations suggest that transformation of mitochondrial configuration during spermatogenesis and spermiogenesis is the expression of intensive metabolic processes and activity of membrane transport in germ cells.
Abstract: The following stereological parameters of mitochondria were calculated in rat germ cells during the spermatogenesis: volume density of matrix, outer compartment, outer membrane and inner membrane, surface density of outer membrane and inner membrane. They were the basis to calculate the partition coefficient of matrix and partition coefficient of outer compartment. The matrix volume demonstrated a decreasing in mitochondria of germ cells during spermatogenesis. The relative volume of outer compartment was calculated with the intracristal spaces and revealed increasing from spermatogonia to spermatids. The partition coefficient for the matrix significantly decreased. Our observations suggest that transformation of mitochondrial configuration during spermatogenesis and spermiogenesis is the expression of intensive metabolic processes and activity of membrane transport in germ cells.

TL;DR: A number of fundamental investigations have been carried out and the results obtained have been used to solve a large number of applied problems comprising on the whole a clearly defined direction which, by analogy with engineering mechanics, may be referred to as processing mechanics as discussed by the authors.
Abstract: A number of fundamental investigations have been carried out and the results obtained have been used to solve a large number of applied problems comprising on the whole a clearly defined direction which, by analogy with engineering mechanics, may be referred to as processing mechanics. Since the applied importance of processing mechanics for engineering is expected to increase rapidly, special attention must be paid to carrying out investigations, introducing the results into production, and training of personnel capable of solving the given problems.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the impact of Soviet-controlled force development in the German Democratic Republic on the Soviet approach to command, control, and tactical organization in the Warsaw Pact's northern tier.
Abstract: This article examines the impact of Soviet-controlled force development in the German Democratic Republic on the Soviet approach to command, control, and tactical organization in the Warsaw Pact's northern tier. After reviewing the evolution of Soviet East German military cooperation, the analysis suggests that Soviet control of the internal and external political factors that position the GDR and the USSR in the world arena has resulted in an unusually close relationship between the two countries' militaries. On the basis of these findings, the essay proceeds to develop a broader analytical framework for the future study of Soviet-controlled force development in the Pact's northern tier, particularly in Poland.

TL;DR: Surface--volume parameters of intercellular spaces and basal infolded channels were unexpectedly higher than the relation to active ion transport as well as indiscernible permeability of the distal tubular basement membrane.
Abstract: Mitochondria of the proximal and distal tubules which are in different configurational states of epithelial cells and their surface--volume relationship of intercellular spaces and basal infolded channels were evaluated in rats. The evaluation was performed with stereological methods. The studies were carried out on 5 rats under physiological conditions using electron microscopy. Mitochondria within the proximal and distal tubules were found to occur in transitional states close to the orthodox state. However, mitochondria within the proximal tubules were in a higher energy state, closer to the orthodox state when compared with those within the distal tubules. Surface--volume parameters of intercellular spaces and basal infolded channels were unexpectedly higher than the relation to active ion transport as well as indiscernible permeability of the distal tubular basement membrane.

TL;DR: In this paper, an incremental thermoviscoelastic finite element stress analysis method was developed, which is based on the following assumptions: (1) valanis' type endochronic hereditary integral isotropic constitutive equations with a viscoelastic intrinsic time measure, (2) the material is thermorheological simple so that temperature effect on material is embedded in reduced time, (3) shear relaxation modulus is composed of the first two terms of prony series, (4) material is dilatational elastic that bulk modulus and thermal expansion
